 Dear students
 Many of us are often confused while making use of the words "atmosphere", "climate", "environment",  and "ambiance".
 Let us check the meanings of these words
 (1) Atmosphere :
 (a) the mixture of gases surrounding a confined space, e.g. pollution of the atmosphere.
 (b) the feeling or mood between people in a group, e.g. a friendly atmosphere, an atmosphere of mutual   trust, an atmosphere of violence.
 (2)Climate :
 (a) the regular pattern of weather conditions of a particular place e.g. wet climate/ warm climate/ harsh      climate of the Arctic regions
 (b) a general attitude or feeling in a particular place e.g. the present political climate in India / a climate in   which business can prosper.
 (3) Environment :
 the conditions that affect the behaviour and development of somebody e.g. learning environment in a  school/ working environment in an organisation/ an unhappy home environment
 (4) Ambiance :
 the character and atmosphere of a place; the relaxed ambiance of a township.
