LEARNING IS FUN! Words have more than one meaning ! Dear Friends  A word used as a noun has a particular meaning , when used as a verb , has some other meaning ,and when used as an adjective has still another meaning. So be careful before making out the meaning. Here I am giving some interesting sentences with a word coming twice but with altogether different meaning.  1 . The shrewd bank manager did an outstanding job by recovering all the outstanding loans . 2 . I could not have a sound sleep because the bedroom was not sound proof . 3 . LEARNING IS FUN Correct use of prepositions is very important and today let's learn some of them :- Compare "on time" and "in time" :- Ex. 1 . The 9.45 train left on time . ( i.e. it left at 9.45 ) ( If something happens on time, it happens at the planned time and not late) 2 . I must hurry. I want to reach home in time to see the cricket match on TV . ( i.e. soon enough to see the cricket match) Compare "at the end" and "in the end" :- At the end ( of some thing ) = at the time when some thing ends. For example : - at the end of the match , at the end of the month Ex . 1. All the players shook hands at the end of the match . 2. At the end of the concert , there was great applause .
